From the symmetrical cone of Volcán Osorno to the active summit crater of Volcán Villarrica, and across the remote slopes of Volcán Lonquimay and the geothermal landscapes of Nevados de Chillán, the terrain constantly evolves — both geologically and aesthetically.
Each day combines long, steady ascents with expansive descents over volcanic snowfields shaped by wind, ash, and temperature gradients. Unlike classic alpine ski mountaineering, volcano skiing offers scale and continuity: broad faces, logical fall lines, and immense panoramas stretching from the Andes to the Pacific.
Objectives are selected and adapted daily to prioritize snow quality, safety, and group performance, allowing the expedition to flow naturally across different volcanic systems.
Beyond skiing, the experience is deeply rooted in place. Native araucaria forests, thermal hot springs, Mapuche cultural presence, and small mountain towns create a unique rhythm between effort and recovery.
Whether choosing the focused 7-day version or the more exploratory 10-day format, this expedition offers immersion, progression, and diversity — a complete ski touring journey across one of the most distinctive volcanic landscapes on Earth.
